About this print
Basalt Colonnade steps back where Basalt Columns leans in: the full cliff this time, its columns climbing in ranks against a pale sky, grass and fallen blocks scattered at their feet. It reads as architecture that no one built, which is the brutalist idea in its oldest form. The blacks and weathered grays act as a pure neutral, so the piece adds monument to a room without touching its color scheme. Give it a wide wall in a living room or hallway and a simple dark frame. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
