A patent print is a wall-art reproduction of the technical drawing filed with a patent application. Inventors have always had to submit precise drawings of their inventions, and those drawings, from the 1876 Bell telephone to the 1958 Lego brick, are part of the public patent record. ArtSource redraws them as clean vector art so they stay sharp at any print size.
Yes. Every patent print is based on the drawing in the original patent filing, and each product page shows the patent number, grant year and inventor so you can look the filing up yourself. We redraw the artwork for print quality but keep the drawing faithful to the filed original.
Every print is built as two separately colourable layers: the drawing line and the background field (calligraphy prints add a third splash layer). On any product page you pick a colour for each layer and see the result instantly. A built-in legibility check stops combinations with too little contrast, so anything you can order will read clearly on the wall.
Sizes run from 8×12 inches (about 20×30 cm) up to 32×48 inches (about 81×122 cm), depending on format. Every print uses a 2:3 portrait ratio, so a print fits any standard 2:3 frame if you ever want to reframe it. The most popular picks are 12×18 inches for shelves and small walls, 16×24 or 20×30 inches above furniture, and 24×36 inches and up as a statement piece.
Three formats: paper (a print only, for framing yourself), stretched canvas, and framed (ready to hang). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen finish with shatter-resistant acrylic glazing.
Prints are made on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper with archival pigment inks using the giclée process. Pigment inks resist fading for decades in normal indoor light, so the colourway you choose stays the colourway you got.
Yes. The Your Words product turns anything you type, up to six lines, into a typographic print: a family motto, coordinates, a date, a line from a song. You choose from three typefaces and any colour pairing that passes the legibility check, and we print exactly what you type.
We ship worldwide. Orders are produced at the print facility nearest to you, with hubs serving the UK, the US and most of Europe, which keeps delivery times short and avoids surprise customs charges within those regions.
Every print is made to order; nothing ships from a warehouse shelf. Production plus delivery typically takes 5 to 10 business days, and the exact estimate for your country is confirmed at checkout.
Standard items can be returned within 14 days under UK consumer law. Prints you have recoloured or customised are made to your specification and are exempt from the standard cancellation right, but if any print arrives damaged or faulty we will send a free replacement or a full refund. Email hello@artsource.store with a photo and your order number.
