About this print
The Shoulder, Plate I is an original ArtSource artwork in the style of a coloured natural history plate. The top of the upper arm, the shoulder blade and the collarbone are drawn with fine cross hatching in slate and steel blue, with light washes on a plain cream ground and plenty of space around them. It is a stylised drawing, clean and uncluttered, and it reads as much like a sculpture study as an anatomy plate.
