Study of the Knee is an original ArtSource artwork in the style of an antique natural history plate. The joint is shown front on, with the bones and ligaments rendered as smooth sculptural forms in crimson and carmine washes, fine sepia hatching and a thin ruled border. Ferns, oak leaves and rosehips fill the space either side, which turns a clinical subject into something closer to a botanical study. It is a stylised drawing rather than a teaching diagram. Hung in a consulting room, an office or a study, it reads as a rich red panel from across the room and as detail up close. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
