About this print
In 1875 C. F. Theodore Steinway patented an improved metal frame for the piano-forte (US170,647): a strengthening rib cast with longitudinal and transverse braces, all in one solid piece. By his own account it raised the frame's string-tension strength from 33,000 to 45,000 pounds without adding weight, part of the run of Steinway patents that shaped the modern grand.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm uncoated fine-art paper using pigment inks. Framed prints use a wood frame in your chosen color finish; canvas prints are stretched on a slim FSC-certified wood frame. Made to order; no off-the-shelf stock.
