About this print
Bougainvillea is barely a flower at all: the colour comes from bracts, thin as tissue paper, which is why it glows rather than shines. Here they fill the frame against a pale plaster wall, layered several deep so the red runs from scarlet where the light passes through to a deeper carmine in the shade. It is an unapologetically warm picture, and it does the same job in a room that a bowl of fruit does, only permanently. It lifts a white kitchen, warms a living room and holds its own against terracotta and raw wood. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
