About this print
Pressed Hydrangea takes petals that have already given up their moisture and lays them flat, edge over edge, until they fill the frame. Drying does something particular to hydrangea colour: the fuchsia stays but goes matt and slightly brown at the margins, which is why the whole image reads as remembered rather than fresh. It has the feel of a Victorian herbarium sheet without any of the apparatus, and it suits a bedroom or a study where that quietness fits. It sits especially well beside old books, brass and unbleached linen. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
