About this print
Orchid Blooms fills the frame with open phalaenopsis faces, each one symmetrical, each one carrying a smaller patterned lip at its centre where the colour concentrates. The magenta is clean and saturated, the petals are broad and slightly waxy, and the flat light keeps the whole surface even. Orchids can look stiff in photographs; massing them at this scale solves that, because the overlapping shapes give the image movement. It suits a bathroom or a bedroom, and it sits well with white, chrome and dark green foliage. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
