About this print
Obsidian Facets is the close study to Obsidian Ridge's wide view: no sky, no horizon, just the stone itself packed edge to edge. Each fracture plane catches light differently, so the surface flickers between gloss and matt charcoal as you move past it. It is the most textural piece in the collection, and being entirely without colour it works as a deep neutral in any scheme, warm or cool. It looks superb behind glass in a black frame, beside concrete, steel or dark tile. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
