About this print
Painted in the manner of a heritage still life, the piece gives you two leather-bound books with softened corners and ribbed spines, and a single brass key laid on the top cover. The background is a wash of raw umber and ochre brushwork, so all the attention lands on the gleam of the metal and the cream of the page edges. It sits naturally with dark wood, old maps, and brass lamps, and it makes a small wall feel considered. An office, a hallway, or a shelf-top lean all work. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
