About this print
The drawing leans close, so the bloom and its thorned stem run right to the edges of the sheet. Every vein and serration is worked in ink, while the paper behind it carries the soft mottling of age. Because it is essentially monochrome it behaves like a neutral, sitting as comfortably over a bedside table as beside a desk, and it is particularly good against deep green or ink-blue walls. Framed simply, it brings the discipline of an old herbarium to a modern room. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
