About this print
Malachite grows in concentric layers, and cutting through them produces the banded eyes and ripples that have decorated tabletops and snuff boxes for centuries. This slab has the full range, from near-black forest through to a light emerald, with the bands tightening and opening across the surface. It is a decorative pattern with real history behind it, which is why it holds up in a formal living room as readily as a modern one. Green this saturated wants restraint around it, so plain walls, dark wood and a single warm metal are the safest company. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
