About this print
Magenta Velvet has the same construction as the red and violet velvet pieces and a completely different temperament, because pink pile shifts further between its light and dark states than either. In the hollows it reads almost burgundy; on the raised faces it lifts to a bright fuchsia; and the transitions between are gradual enough to look painted. It is a bold piece that stays soft, which is a useful combination on a bedroom wall. Grey, charcoal and warm timber all keep it in check. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
