About this print
Charcoal Gesture is pure mark-making: a few heavy strokes crossing and doubling back, the brush dragged dry so the grey ground shows through at the edges. It carries the loud presence of gestural abstraction while staying strictly monochrome, which is why it works like a neutral; there is no colour to clash with anything you already own. The pale field keeps it airy, so even at scale it opens a wall rather than crowding it. It suits a modern living room, a studio office or the run of a hallway. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
