Charoite comes from one river valley in Siberia and looks like nothing else: the violet is not banded or crystalline but fibrous, swept into whorls and feathered plumes as though the stone had been stirred while it set. Here the colour runs from indigo through to a chalky lilac, with black seams giving the swirls their edges. Polished flat and shot in even light, the pattern has no focal point, so it works as a large field of movement rather than a picture of an object. It suits a big wall, a modern room, and anything else in the space that is deliberately plain. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
