About this print
Lapis Split is a whole stone opened rather than a thin slice, so the blue has bulk to it: a dense ultramarine that shifts between navy and something almost violet depending on the angle. Threads of pyrite catch as gold and veins of calcite break through in chalky white, and those two interruptions are what keep the blue from going flat. It is a wide, grounded image, suited to a big wall in a living room or the long view down a hallway. Warm metals are its natural partner, which is convenient, since it brings its own. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
