About this print
Beeswax Candles is an exercise in how little a still life needs. Half a dozen unlit candles stand on a pale surface in flat even light, and the picture rests entirely on the colour of the wax, a warm honey that goes almost cream where the light hits and deepens to amber in the shadows between. Nothing is burning and nothing is arranged for effect. It is a gentle, domestic piece for a kitchen or a bedroom, and its warmth makes it a useful counterweight to all the cool greens and blues in the wider catalogue. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
