About this print
Crimson Plume catches ink about a second after it entered the water, at the point where the drop has become a cloud but has not yet dispersed. The red pulls into fine threads at the leading edge and stays dense in the body, and against the pale ground every filament is legible. Nothing in the image was arranged: it is entirely a matter of catching the right instant. That makes it a genuinely dynamic piece, good over a sofa or in a hallway, where the sense of motion does something a still subject cannot. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
