About this print
Red Velvet is a study of a fabric that changes colour depending on which way its pile is lying. In the folds the red drops nearly to black; on the raised faces it lifts to a warm scarlet; and along every crease there is a thin line of something brighter still. Flat even lighting is what makes that legible, since a directional light would simply blow out the highlights. It is a rich, enveloping piece for a living room or a bedroom, and it is the obvious partner for anything brass, walnut or deep green. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
