About this print
Shibori Folds shows the cloth still stacked in the folds that shaped it, so what you see is edge after edge of indigo at slightly different strengths, paler where a fold sat proud of the vat and deeper where it soaked. The stacking gives the image a strong horizontal rhythm, and the worn white along the top edges keeps it from reading as one flat blue. It is a piece about process as much as about colour. It suits a bedroom or a study, and it makes a natural group with the indigo linen and the delft tiles. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
