About this print
Vermilion Pigment is the material behind a thousand paintings, photographed before it becomes any of them: ground cinnabar, poured into a heap, sitting on a chalky pale surface with nothing else in the frame. The scarlet is intense and completely matt, which is unusual for a red this strong, and the soft edges of the heap keep it from looking graphic. It is a simple, confident piece for a study or a living room, and it makes an obvious set with the magenta and ultramarine powders. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
