About this print
Layer on Layer is the ridge study at its most regular: six or seven wooded planes, evenly spaced, stepping back into the fog in almost equal tonal intervals. There is nothing accidental about how it reads, and that ordering is what makes it restful rather than merely pretty. The colour never leaves the cool blue green range, so the picture holds one note across its whole width. It is a natural over a long piece of furniture, and it groups well with the other ridge pieces if you want a run of three. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
