About this print
Tanzanite is famously pleochroic, which means it shows a different colour depending on the angle you look through it, and a macro like this catches both at once: blue on one face, violet on the next, with the transition happening across a single edge. The square crop keeps the stone central and the composition still, so the colour shift is the only movement in the frame. It is a piece that rewards a close wall rather than a far one, beside a bed or at a turn in a hallway. Cool greys and pale wood let the shift stay visible. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
