About this print
Verdigris is what copper does when it is left alone long enough, and the result is one of the few colours nobody had to invent: a chalky blue green that creeps across the metal in patches and tide lines. Underneath, the warm brown of the sheet still shows through, which gives the image its depth and stops the green reading as paint. Photographed flat and filling the frame, it works as a texture piece in a kitchen or a workshop, where the material story is part of the point. It belongs next to steel, raw wood and anything else that shows its age. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
