About this print
Aubergine Skins is a still life that behaves like an abstract: the fruit are packed so close there is no background, and what fills the frame is a field of deep purple curves with a highlight running down each one. That purple is almost black in the hollows and briefly silver where the light slides off, and the flat studio lighting keeps everything even. It is a kitchen piece with more ambition than most, and it works just as well in a living room, where the colour reads as lacquer rather than as produce. Dark wood and brass suit it. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
