About this print
Damsons keeps the bloom on, which is the whole point: that powdery pale film over the skin is the first thing a supermarket photograph removes, and it is what makes the fruit look real. Underneath it the purple runs deep and slightly red, and where a finger has brushed one the bloom is gone and the gloss shows through. Piled into a shallow bowl and lit flat, it is a quiet, old-fashioned still life without any styling. It suits a kitchen or a dining wall, and it sits well beside old wood and unglazed pottery. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
