About this print
Most of the sheet goes to water and evening sky, letting the bridge stride across the middle distance in a long, low line of piers. Sunset at Seta is one of the Eight Views of Omi, the celebrated set of Lake Biwa scenes, and Utagawa Hiroshige's treatment turns the theme into pure golden-hour calm. The woodblock print comes from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's open-access collection and is now in the public domain. Those honeyed tones warm a living room or office, and the horizontal composition sits naturally over a sideboard or desk. It pairs with brass, walnut, and evening light. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
