About this print
The scale does the storytelling: Jack is a tiny figure hauling himself up a leaf while the giant fills the upper half of the sheet, standing on the clouds with rooftops far below and a white dove drifting past. WPA poster artists screen printed the storybook scene between 1936 and 1941, and the Library of Congress copy carries a March 1941 date stamp on the back; like most WPA posters it is unsigned. Its soft greens and chalky sky make it gentler than almost anything else the workshops produced. Now in the public domain, it hangs naturally in a child's room, over a bedtime bookshelf, or anywhere the story still gets requested. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
