About this print
Two colleagues, one drawing, zero courtesy: the men squint and jab at each other across the table while the plan they are meant to be reading crumples between them. WPA artists screen printed the poster between 1936 and 1941 as part of a campaign for better workplace relations, and the lesson has not dated even slightly, which is most of the fun. The flat orange figures on that mustard ground show the poster division's gift for saying a thing once, loudly, in three colors. The Library of Congress holds it in the WPA Poster Collection, now in the public domain. Hang it in an office or workshop and let it referee. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
