About this print
Indigo Arcs is a handful of gestures and nothing else. Each arc is a single wide brushstroke made while the ground was still damp, so the edges feather and the pigment settles darker where the stroke slowed and paler where it was dragged out thin. The blue sits on the violet side, the colour of indigo dye rather than of ink, and the cream between the strokes carries as much of the composition as the blue does. The movement is calm rather than urgent, which is why it works in a bedroom or a bathroom where a more aggressive abstract would not. It is the natural cool-scheme companion to the mineral pieces. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
