Pine Impasto is about the paint rather than the picture. Each slab is one loaded pass of the knife, set down and left, so the surface reads as a stack of physical marks with real depth between them. The green is deliberately cool and blue-leaning, closer to pine needles than to grass, and the bone white and grey between the strokes stop it from going heavy. Printed large, the raking light captured in the ridges does most of the work, which makes it a good piece for a wall that already gets side light from a window or a lamp. Against pale plaster it is graphic; against a dark wall it turns almost jewel-like. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
