About this print
Geode Section is the inside of a geode seen from within rather than in cross section: the camera sits close enough that the cavity wall fills the frame, all crystal points and the smoky quartz they grew out of. The purples run from a near-black plum in the shadows to a pale orchid where a facet takes the light, with grey and bone mineral holding it together. Cropped square, it hangs like a tile, which suits it to an alcove, the wall beside a bed or a hallway turn. Against white plaster it reads jewel-like; against a deeper wall it turns almost heraldic. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
