Table III shows the skeleton side on, mid stride, one arm extended as if pointing the way. Seen like this the long S curve of the spine and the tilt of the pelvis carry the composition, and Jan Wandelaar set them against the hard horizontals of a masonry wall with trees and a distant landscape behind. Albinus insisted on measured accuracy and had his skeletons drawn through a grid from fixed viewpoints, which is why the proportions feel so settled. The plate was published in Leiden in 1747 and the Wellcome Collection's copy, marked public domain, is the source. Its forward movement gives a narrow wall real direction. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
