She comes straight down the slope with a smile, hair blowing out from under a red knitted cap, the long skirt of her coat trimmed in red and the yellow skis curving up at the tips. It is a chromolithographed card after a design by Peter Nicolai Arbo, the Norwegian painter best known for his scenes from the sagas, made around 1890 when skiing was fast becoming a national pastime rather than simply a way to get about in winter. The National Library of Norway holds it and marks it public domain. Soft blues and warm yellows make it an easy fit for a living room. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
