The big block letters and the red coat do the selling: Winter in Norway, and a woman crouched over her pole racing down a snowfield while a second skier climbs the slope behind her. Andreas Bloch drew the design, and Petersen and Waitz of Kristiania printed it as a colour lithograph for the Norwegian Winter Tourist Club, which was promoting winter holidays to English speaking visitors; the National Library of Norway dates it to 1907. The black and red pillars borrow the look of Norwegian folk carving. The National Library holds the poster and marks it public domain. It brings instant energy to a hallway or a cabin wall. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
