About this print
Peacock Eye goes close enough to see how the feather is built: individual barbs lying side by side, each carrying its own band of colour, so the famous eye turns out to be a mosaic rather than a painted spot. Several feathers overlap across the frame, their eyes falling at different depths, and the teal and blue green shift as the barbs turn. Like the morpho wing, this colour comes from structure rather than pigment. It is a striking piece for a living room or a hallway, and it wants a plain wall and a simple frame. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
