About this print
Plum Silk sits a shade cooler and deeper than the magenta, closer to wine, which changes the whole mood of the same subject. The folds fall in long continuous curves and the sheen follows them as a soft band rather than a bright line, so the picture reads as gradient more than as highlight. Flat lighting keeps it from tipping into a fashion image. It is a refined, grown-up piece for a bedroom or a hallway, and it makes an easy pair with the violet velvet or the plum dahlia. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
