About this print
Melted Wax caught the pour part way through cooling, so the outer edge has gone matt and slightly opaque while the middle is still wet enough to reflect. The red runs from a bright scarlet where the layer is thin to something close to oxblood where it has pooled deep. Nothing about the shape was decided by anyone, which is what makes it interesting. It is a lively piece for a living room or a study, and the pale ground around it keeps the whole thing from becoming heavy. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
