About this print
Red Lacquer is a surface rather than an object: layer on layer of lacquer, polished back, with the brush texture of the lower coats still faintly visible through the top. The red is deep and slightly blue, and the gloss gives it an internal depth that no matt paint achieves. Photographed flat and filling the frame, it works as a pure colour field with a story behind it. It suits a living room or a study, and it is the sort of piece that changes noticeably between daylight and lamplight. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Materials and sizes
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic moulded gallery frame in your chosen colour finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colours.
