The crossing is the story: figures hitched onto shoulders and horseback midstream, hats tipped against the light, while the Okitsu River slides past and the mountain above takes the sun in folds of green and gold. Okitsu was a station on the Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido, and this sheet belongs to an edition of Utagawa Hiroshige's series that carries a poem in the sky above each scene. The impression is early twentieth century, a woodblock print held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's open-access collection, now in the public domain. It is easy company for an office, a hallway, or a living room, especially among warm woods. Printed to order at gallery scale in its own fixed palette.
Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte art paper using archival pigment inks (giclée process). Framed prints use a classic molded gallery frame in your chosen color finish; the glazing is shatter-resistant acrylic. Made to order for you, in your colors.
